Your logo is you or your business’ first point of contact with the outside world.

If people connect with your branding, the likelihood is they’ll be more open to whatever it is offering them. Great logo design requires a complex mixture of design skills, creative theory and skillful application.

Financial advisor Judy Tengler based in Cleveland, Ohio, had a calling:   create a company to help women manage their money in times of crisis.  She gave her company a dynamic name—Empowering Women Financial Services (EWFS)—and asked Red Ski Creative to help her develop the brand from scratch.

While Judy had a fresh concept, she needed to find her own visual voice in a very competitive financial industry. We helped her strategize her company’s message and whittled it down to the idea that while life can be overwhelming, one’s finances shouldn’t be. In other words, because most women in transition feel overwhelmed and don’t know where to start or how to plan, Judy saw a need to establish Empowering Women Financial Services.

We  got to work designing a logo to reflect Judy’s mission of helping women plan and thrive independently for a solid financial future. This image needed to be feminine but with a powerful stance.  In the end, we devised one design that conjures two  images:  a butterfly (signaling metamorphosis) and a figure with its arms raised in fists of strength—strong but delicate.

Besides carrying out brand strategy and creating the logo, RSC designed the  brochure and business cards for Empowering Women Financial Services.

EWFS allows women to “take a deep breath” and know that everything will be OK. At RSC, we are down with this concept and try to help our clients do the same!
